Every week we meet people who lost files they assumed were safe. Drives fail, laptops get stolen and ransomware locks folders — but a good backup turns any of these into a minor inconvenience.
Follow the 3-2-1 rule
Keep three copies of important data, on two different types of storage, with one copy off-site or in the cloud.
Make it automatic
Backups that rely on remembering to plug in a drive don’t happen. Cloud backup and scheduled local backups run quietly in the background.
Test your restore
A backup is only useful if you can get files back. Try restoring a few files every few months to make sure everything works.
